In January 2025, the government took action against some installers of poor-quality solid wall insulation in homes under the GBIS/ECO scheme (click here for more details). The government suspended 39 businesses from installing new insulation, and ordered the companies responsible for the poor work to fix it. Households should not be asked to pay for the repairs.
